Core Stats

Brains

How book-smart a character is. It will determine how well they understand problems, how well they did/do in school, how quickly they're able to solve intellectual puzzles.

Common actions: calculate, confuse, decode, learn, remember, solve

Brawn

How much brute strength a character has. It does not determine how well they can fight, just how well they can lift and overall athleticism.

Common actions: bend, climb, carry, lift, hurl, swim, throw

Fight

How scary your character is, both in and out of a fight. Determines how they learn to fight or use weapons and how they handle themselves if things get physical.

Common actions: intimidate, parry, punch, scare, shoot, threaten, wrestle

Flight

How fast a character is as well as how skilled they are at evading their problems (literally and figuratively). High flight will be fast and tough to catch both physically and verbally.

Common actions: avoid, dodge, drive, escape, evade, outrun, snatch

Charm

How socially adept a character is and how good they are at reading the emotions of another person or group. Characters with high Charm can talk themselves out of tough situations and into good ones.

Common actions: convince, entice, flatter, lie, persuade, sweet talk, trick

Grit

How hard it is to unsettle a character emotionally or physically. Characters with high Grit can keep a level head in the worst situations, stay cool under pressure, and demonstrate street-smarts.

Common actions: brace, endure, refuse, resist, see through, struggle against
